Description
Antinori is one of the most important names in the world of wine, the family has been making wine in Italy for 26 generations. Marchesi Antinori produces some of the most iconic wines in Italy including the collectable Tignanello and Solaia.
Solaia is made using the grapes from the sunniest part of the Tignanello vineyard. The Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Sangiocese grapes are fermented seperately and then blended together before ageing in barriques for 12 months. A further 12 months ageing in bottle is required before the wine is released with a long life ahead of it. Aromas of cassis, black plum, liquorice and violet leap out the glass. The palate is dense and structured with a spicy edge. This is a classy Super Tuscan with bags of flavour.
