Description
People thought Josip Babich was crazy back in 1912. Planting vines in remote New Zealand, then patiently making wine the difficult way – with vision, thoughtfulness, ingenuity, and true craft. With no less than three generations of innovation, achievement and winemaking excellence across three outstanding winemaking regions, Babich wines have delighted wine drinkers around the world.
Babich’s Cowslip Valley Riesling displays good body and complex flavours typical for Rieslings grown on superior cool sites, such as The Cowslip Valley vineyard, with free draining gravel in the Waihopai Valley of Marlborough. Fermentation was halted before completion to retain a level of natural sweetness that perfectly balances the acidity. Enjoy with a goats cheese or try with garlic prawns.
