Description
Bodega Pago de Larrea is a perfectly situated 15.5 hectare vineyard planted in 1980 and privately owned by the Larrea family who were co-founders of Vina Salceda. The vines are protected from harsh winds and rain by a limestone ridge to the north, and border the River Ebro to the south, dividing the Rioja Alavesa from the Rioja Alta.
Bodega Pago de Larrea’s 2016 Caecus Rioja Reserva is Larrea’s top Rioja, which is only made in the finest vintages – a complex, extended oak-aged Rioja style from a boutique, organic estate, where quality rather than quantity is the maxim. The bouquet offers a complex set of aromas of blackberry, red plum, clove, cedar and vanilla. The palate is sily smooth with soft, plush tannin. Enjoy with a roast beef joint or a veggie Lasagne.

Love the sweet vanilla flavour of this wine.
