Description
Banfi was founded in 1978 thanks to the will of the Italian-American brothers, John and Harry Mariani. From the beginning, the goal of the two brothers was to create a state-of-the-art winery and implement the most cutting-edge technology in their prestigious vineyard sites. The Castello Banfi is one of the most impressive sites in the Montalcino region.
Made using the younger Sangiovese vines on the Banfi estate, this Rosso represents excellent value for money. The grapes are fermented in steel tanks before ageing in French oak for upto 6 months. Blended to display the typical aromas of a Brunello but with softer structure, this wine is quite delicious. Both Raspberry and Blackberry on the nose with a light taste of tobacco. The palate with medium bodied with a harmonius and persistent finish. Try pairing with duck breast or hard cheese.
