His daughter, Dr Laura Catena, has taken charge of the estate and the name has gone from strength to strength under her stewardship. A medical doctor, winemaker and figure of inspiration, Laura is a one-off. She has become an icon in the world of wine and continues to push boundaries and make incredible wines.

The Catena approach has always been terroir first, which is how they have uncovered some of the finest land Argentina has to offer. The Addriana vineyard is thought of as the Grand Cru of South America – the wines from here are simply sensational.
