What does “In Bond” mean?
Wines sold ‘in bond’ do not include any alcohol duty or VAT. The bottles/cases must be stored in a bonded account with a HMRC registered professional storage facility, they cannot be ordered for home delivery.
When these wines are withdrawn from the bonded storage facility, the duty and VAT are then payable.

SPARKLING WINE
40% Pinot Noir, 35% Chardonnay and 25% Meuiner, Charles Heidsieck Rose is an elegant salmon pink in the glass. Younger reserve wines are used than in the white equivalent in order to blend a refreshing rose with overt berry flavours. The nose reveals aromas of raspberry, wild strawberry, ripe peach and gingerbread. The palate is precise with a refreshing backbone of chalky acidity. One to enjoy on it’s own or with light canapes.

The new release of Heidsick's NV Rosé Réserve is based on the 2012 vintage, with the usual 20% of reserve wines and some 6% still red wine from Les Riceys in the Aube. Already exhibiting considerable complexity, it wafts from the glass with scents of orange rind, red plums, gingerbread and red berries. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, satiny textured and fleshy, with lively acids and an attractively vinous profile. It was disgorged a few months ago with 11 grams per liter dosage.

The NV Rosé Réserve is an attractive, aperitif-styled Rosé to drink now and over the next handful of years, while the flavors remain bright. This release is based on 2012. Now with two years on the cork, the Rosé Réserve offers lovely complexity in its slightly burnished dried cherry, crushed flower and spice nuances.
