Description
Château Haut Lagrange 2016 is a superb luncheon style Claret and a wonderful Bordeaux value from the prestigious Pessac-Léognan appellation in Graves on the Left Bank.
Château Haut-Lagrange was established in 1989 by Francis Boutemy on a great terroir in the heart of the Pessac-Léognan appellation, just next door to several Graves Crus Classés. Here, the soil is cultivated in a traditional way, with ploughing in the winter and partially grassed over in the spring to control vine growth, and only organic manure is used. The estate employs the talented Alain Raynaud as consultant and the wines are crafted in the authentic Pessac-Léognan style – with elegance, balance and subtle use of oak.
