This luxurious Tokaji Essencia is the richest and rarest of all Hungarian Tokaji wines made only from the juice that aszù berries naturally exude as they are waiting to be crushed. Traditionally served by the spoonfull, Essencia is one of the most intensely flavoured wines made. Incredibly sweet and thick, the nose is of honeysuckle, candied lemon, stewed fruits and caramel. The Palate is reminiscent of fine honey with tropical fruit. A rare and delicious treat!

    Description

    Château Pajzos was founded in 1992, together with Château Megyer, and together they share a winery in Sárospatak, close to the castle. This cellar is one of the oldest estates of the wine region. Today, Pazjos is owned by Jean-Louis Laborde (of Château Clinet, Pomerol fame).
