Description
Château Rauzan-Ségla is a second growth Margaux, which dates back to1661. This once underperforming Margaux estate was transformed in the 1980s by Professor Emile Peynaud who transformed it into a modern, state of the art winery. A subsequent renovation in the 1990s by the owners of Chanel in the 1990s took place during which large tanks were replaced by smaller capacity vats to match the number of parcels in the vineyards. This move allowed for more precise vinification on a parcel by parcel basis, and the quality of Rauzan-Ségla soared accordingly.
