Ripe aromas of blackcurrant, plum and chocolate. The palate is plush with soft tannin and balanced acidity. A great example of a forward drinking modern Claret. Try pairing with lamb cutlets.

    Description

Chateau Veyry is a micro-winery in Castillon Bordeaux. Christian Veryry is better known for working with Michel Rolland, advising some of the greatest producers in Bordeaux. He applies all he advises his clients at his own property and the wines are all the better for it. Benefitting from the same limestone terroir of St Emilion, these wines represent excellent value for money.

The 2016 Veyry has a very ripe bouquet of ripe red cherries, kirsch, espresso and dark chocolate aromas that manages to retain freshness and delineation. The focused, fresh palate is medium-bodied with lightly spiced black fruit tinged with cassis and a detailed finish. Excellent.
