The vines originate from a Heritage clone of Syrah brought to New Zealand around 150 years ago. Deepest red with a vibrant purple hue. So much lift and perfume. Violets, lavender and maraschino cherries lift from the glass. The palate has hallmarks of the gravels in graphite and black pepper. Enjoy with roasted garlic and thyme lamb rack or a squid ink linguine.

    Description

Craggy Range is a family-owned winery established in 1998 and situated in the shadow of the spectacular Te Mata Peak in the premium wine growing area of Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand. Craggy Range produces a collection of iconic wines from multiple regions in New Zealand. Owner Terry Peabody and his family pursued the single vineyard approach to winemaking, planting on green fields and bare land ensuring a focus on quality from the very beginning.

Full body with well-rounded tannins and a long peppery finish. Amazing with red meat.
