Description

A family run Domaine, Bertrand’s children are now more involved in the production side of the business. The 2018 vintage is one of rich, opulent whites and full-bodied, powerful reds with aging potential. Traditional vinification methods is employed, where the Pinot Noir is destemmed, allowed to macerate for 15-25 days and then aged for 12-18 months in barrels. These reds are truly charming. The fruit is fully expressive with tannins that are ripe and supple and the acidity holding all in perfect balance. Possibly the best vintage from Ambroise since the delicious 2010.

Full-bodied, gutsy Beaune from a premier cru in the direction of Pommard. Aged in 60% new oak, this is firm and structured, with a sweet texture and softer, rounder tannins.
