Gérard’s daughters, Anne and Sophie, are now running the estate day-to-day. A combination of their on-site and technical training sees these wines showing more purity, precision and, dare I say, tension. Another change is moving to Montgillard for all of their barrels. We now see wines that are rich and aromatic and balanced with fine, crisp acidity (the tension) suspending all the flavours in a long finish.
Another hugely popular 1er Cru wine. The aspect of the vineyard means it is one of the last to be harvested. The slower ripening grapes produce wines with great definition and minerality. Wonderful balance in this wine and an impressively long finish. Super value to be found here.
