Description
Jean-Marc Pillot’s Montagny Les Bassets 2018 is crafted from grapes bought from Stephane Aladame in Montagny, which he then vinifies in Chassagne.
Winemaker/owner Jean-Marc Pillot has been in charge of the family domaine since 1991, and is at the top of his game. His fine wines spend around 12 months in oak before a further 6 months in steel, where they gain precision and drive. His fine red and white Burgundy are made with a precise attention to detail, to the extent that Jean-Marc extended his winemaking facility so that the whites and reds can be vinified at different temperatures. His whites are fresh, aromatic and excellent value.
