Description
Pierre Bourée’s Puligny-Montrachet Villages 2017 yields from one of the Côte de Beaune’s most famous villages, and is regarded as the home of Chardonnay; a reputation based on the general consensus that the world’s best dry white wines are produced here. Bourée’s 2017 highlights why, with all the minerality and concentration you would expect.
Pierre Bourée still uses old wooden vats rather than stainless steel and the grapes are trodden by foot. And last but not least, Bourée only release their fine wines when they are ready to drink – a very refreshing practice in today’s market.
Domaine Pierre Bouree are a traditional producer, perhaps verging on old fashioned. Sometimes the oldies are goldies.. The grapes are still trodeen by foot and old wooden Vats are still used instead of modern stainless steel. Best of all, they only release their wines when ready (and delicious) to drink.
