One of the finest producers of Barolo, today the Mascarello family business dates back to 1881. Giuseppe took over the business in the 1920’s which marks the beginning of a journey to excellence. The wines made at the Mascarello’s Monprivato vineyard are nothing short of collectors items!

The Riserva Cà d’Morissio is a ‘super riserva’ crafted from a tiny parcel of Nebbiolo Michet in Monprivato, planted in the mid-1980s after being specially selected from the original 1921 plantings. It is named after Mauro Mascarello’s grandfather, Maurizio (Morissio in Piedmontese dialect) who was the first generation to purchase a plot in Monprivato. The 2001 is an exceptional vintage of Monprivato with all the hallmarks of a generational Barolo, A collector’s must!
