Michel Chapoutier pioneered Biodynamic winemaking in the Rhone Valley, this Chateauneuf du Pape benefitted from years of fine tuning. Instensely fruity on the nose with aromas of cassis and raspberry. The palate is rich and powerful with a more spicy character. This is perfect winter red to enjoy with a beef stew.

    Description

Albeit under a different name, the M.Chapoutier wine business dates back to 1808! Michel Chapoutier took the helm in 1990 having spent a number of years as winemaker at the maison already. Michel’s vision has helped to transform the Rhone valley, especially his biodynamic beliefs.

Fruity, zesty and a nice minerality, very fresh.

Full ruby. Intense raspberry and cherry aromas, along with suggestions of allspice, white pepper and pungent flowers. Sappy and focused on the palate, offering gently sweet red fruit and spicecake flavors that firm up slowly with air. Clings with very good tenacity on the finish, which features rounded tannins and an echo of sweet red fruit.
