Made in the traditional method from 75% Pinot Noir and 25% Chardonnay. Nautilus Cuvee is aged on its lees for three years before being disgorged to develop delicious biscuity toasty flavours. The Nautilus Cuvee Marlborough Brut NV is pale straw in colour with a fine bead and creamy mousse. The wine has a distinctive nutty bouquet, which shows the richness of a Pinot Noir dominant blend and the benefits of extended maturation. An elegant finely structured wine in which the fruit flavours harmonise with biscuity, yeast derived complexities and crisp acidity to give a lingering dry finish. Delicious with oysters or mature parmesan.

    Description

    The mathematically perfect spiral of the Nautilus shell has been admired since  ancient Greek times. This shape is found throughout nature: in the growth of seeds on a sunflower head, in the air movement of a cyclone, or in the spiral through which a hawk flies towards its prey. This natural balance and proportion is what the team at Nautilus estate are striving for in their wines.

    Made in the traditional method from 75% Pinot Noir and 25% Chardonnay. Nautilus Cuvee is aged on its lees for three years before being disgorged to develop delicious biscuity toasty flavours.     A blend of 75% Pinot Noir and 25% Chardonnay, the NV Cuvee Brut is made in the traditional method and disgorged after 3 years on lees. It opens with a lovely aromas of lemon curd, white peach and clotted cream-topped scones with hints of wild strawberries and buttered toast. Very fine, graceful and harmonious in the mouth, it has small, frisky bubbles and a long finish.
