Description
Palliser Estate was established in 1989 and was one of the pioneers of this now great wine region. The estate is named after Cape Palliser, the southernmost point of New Zealands North Island. Palliser is committed to the environment and was in fact one of the first three wineries in the world to be certified to the International Environmental Standard ISO 14001 (a framework for effective environmental management).
A bright and expressive nose showing acacia flowers, freshly cut apple, lemon blossom, lime and a hint of apricot. Crisp, clean and bracingly dry on the palate, the crystalline purity of the wine is the standout feature in its youth. An energetic acid line and wet-riverstone minerality add length and texture, finishing with a whack of red apple and key lime.
