Description
Situated near Stellenbosch, Spier is one of South Africa’s oldest wine farms with a recorded winemaking history dating back to 1692. While rooted in this heritage, there is a vibrant and conscious energy at the farm, and it is home to one of the largest collections of contemporary South African art. Spier is more than just a winery, they rear free range livestock, grow vegetables and run a range of local initiatives.
Bright flavours of cassis and violets followed by integrated spice and subtle oak aromas. The palate is medium bodied with fine, dense tannin and balanced acidity. A great red to enjoy at home with a pizza.
